Kawa是当代中国根源音乐发展最坚定的践行者与探路者。乐队所有成员均来自云南213国道（昆洛线）地区，丰厚的佤族、回族、哈尼族等少数民族音乐文化，成为滋养乐队定位与成长的先天土壤。但Kawa的独特之处在于，通过MIX、REMIX等技术，完成了中国少数民族音乐与现代音乐理念及技术的有力碰撞，为中国本土音乐的多元性、时代性、流传性以及创新，做出了大胆而前卫的尝试。

与此同时，Kawa音乐创作关注社会现实，蕴涵着强烈的人文色彩和现实批判精神，因此特色鲜明，具备广泛的铁粉和极具爆发力的传播力，是云南本土民族音乐创新发展的积极代表。乐队代表作《大起大落》、《红毛树》、《干酒醉》。

Kawa is the most determined practitioner and pathfinder in the development of the contemporary Chinese roots music. All band members come from the 213 National Road (Kunluo) Area of Yunnan. The rich Wa, Hui, Hani and other ethnic music culture has become the congenital soil for band positioning and development. However, Kawa is unique in that it completes the powerful collision between Chinese ethnic minority music and modern music ideas and technology with the help of MIX, REMIX etc. It had made a brave and avant-garde attempt for the plurality, contemporaneity, popularity and innovation of Chinese local music.

 

Meanwhile, Kawa’s music production concerns about social reality which contains strong humanistic color and realistic criticism spirit. Therefore, it is the positive representative of the innovative development of the Yunnan local music, with its distinctive features, loyal fans and highly explosive spreading. The representative songs of the band include Ups and Downs, Red Hair Tree and Drink and Drank.
